Bio:
I have provided individual, group, couples and family counseling for intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, drug court, and in private practice. Through these roles I have received a great deal of experience in helping clients address co-occurring disorders such as addiction and; bi-polar disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma and personality disorders and more. I also work with families who have a loved one with addictive disorders, and all forms of couples and families.I like to use an integrative approach that is specifically structure for each individual. I use a combination of theories and techniques, but most importantly my approach is non-judgmental, accepting and positive. I am experienced in the delivery of Trauma Focused Therapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and SMART Recovery.I believe a productive relationship between counselor and client must include open and honest communication. To create an environment for that type of communication I provide my client a safe place for them to express their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I believe in listening intently in order that I may help my clients create clarity.
