You are not alone. With over 20 years experience counseling individuals, I can help! People seek therapy for many reasons. Sometimes we just keep ending up in the same life patterns despite our best efforts to change. You may want to feel better about yourself, or are struggling to overcome wounds from the past that keep holding you back. Perhaps you have been suffering for too long with feelings of panic, fear, anxiety and depression that interfere with your relationships and having the life you want. I believe we all have great capacity for change. Crisis is an opportunity for profound growth leading to a happier life.In therapy, we look at how the unconscious beliefs from your past experiences may guide your choices and responses in current life decisions. We pay special attention to self-defeating beliefs and actions. I use cognitive-behavioral skills for fear reduction, self-soothing, and emotional clarity. I also use EMDR and mindfulness meditation for change.My style is warm, honest, and interactive. I provide a safe space in which you are deeply understood, while being supported towards significant growth & change. I'm a licensed therapist in long-term private practice, and I teach psychology at a local college.
