Bio:
I work with a wide range of clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds in person and remotely. Clients learn to reduce stress and work with their feelings in ways that lead to personal growth and development of effective interpersonal skills. Feelings that cause stress, anxiety, depression, excessive self-criticism, perfectionism and emotional flooding are processed so that these problem feelings can lead to growth, greater empathy for self and others as well as greater kindness towards others in their life. Additionally, clients who employ detachment as a means of self-protection develop emotional awareness and intelligence.I provide short-term psychodynamic therapy that combines mindfulness, relaxation and deep breathing, body sensory awareness and insight within a safe nonjudgmental space. This can lead to the reduction of stress caused by emotional conflicts and current life realities. I offer advanced seminars on the treatment of trauma and supervision to psychotherapists.Having an empathic based relationship with a client builds trust which is the foundation of effective therapy that can lead to transformations of the current life situation into a possibility for growth and more meaningful experiences as well as greater use of emotional intelligence.
