Bio:
If you have experienced trauma or events that have been very disruptive to your life EMDR therapy can bring you significant relief. If you feel hopeless that life can get better, or find yourself sabotaging your own successes, EMDR therapy is a great approach. I specialize in working with first responders and Veterans, and I help people with sexual and substance addictions as well. As an adoptive parent in the trenches, I am an expert in parenting issues related to fostering and adoption. I am here to help if you are considering making a change or need support trying to figure out what needs to change.People often feel embarrassed talking about addictions and traumatic experiences. This increases isolation and self-destructive behaviors. It can be scary to think about addressing these needs but thinking about change is a great place to start in treatment. There is nothing you can say that will surprise me. I'm not kidding. We have many experiences in our lives that become embedded in our brains as negative core beliefs and result in barriers to healthy mental functioning, and result in low life satisfaction. You can experience relief and fulfillment. The next chapter in your life can be more like a whole new book if you give yourself a chance to heal. I am a US Army Veteran.
