Bio:
As a graduate of Oakland University, I hold licenses in Professional Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore problems and solutions without the pressures to be fixed, or the fears of being shamed or judged. I focus on being respectful, authentic, and straightforward. Many clients say they appreciate my empathetic, no-nonsense approach to things. They enjoy our sessions, look forward to working together, and they get better! I respect all clients for their willingness to grow and learn, and admire the courage it takes to ask for help. Most of my practice is focused on anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, family and relationship issues, self-esteem/self-worth issues, career/academic issues, grief and loss, and communication problems. My passion lies in helping clients make sense of their problems, and introducing them to solutions that work!As a family therapist, I am sensitive to the inherent problems families have, their unique strengths and challenges, and the value of providing long-lasting, emotionally stable relationships. Family therapy & multi-systemic approaches provide effective, long-term results because they target the heart of the issues that cause clients' symptoms.
