Bio:
My approach is all about cultivating a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship between my patients and me. I bring to therapy my years of experience working in special education, developmental therapy, restorative justice, and community mental health as well as my work as a financial counselor. My decade of studying and practicing Ayurveda deeply influences my understanding of individual constitutions and my approach to holistic healing. I work with individuals and couples from ages 16 years and up.I work primarily from a psychodynamic orientation and may draw from humanistic-existential and cognitive-behavioral therapies (among others). I believe that each of these becomes more effective when I really get what’s going on for you and you feel understood. We will discuss at the start of therapy which kind of approach works best for you.I work well with individuals who are struggling with a range of challenges including relationship and money stress, anxiety, depression, and the cultivation of insight. I work with couples who are deciding if they want to take their relationship next level, figure out how to co-parent, or who are separating. I welcome all genders and ethnicities.
