For many people, going to a counselor for the first time can be an uncomfortable experience. I try to make the process easier. My office is a safe place for you to unload your burdens. I often tell my clients that a counselor provides an objective perspective. My purpose as a counselor is to meet you where your are, help you discover healthy coping skills, and to lead you toward hope and healing. Whether your issues are personal or relational, I will listen with an empathetic ear, non-judgmentally, guiding you toward the change you are seeking.I work with children, teens, and adults to help them cope during difficult life transitions. Whether everyday challenges or overwhelming events, I provide therapy to individuals, couples, siblings, or parents with their children. I am a certified to use the Gottman Checkup for couples.Because of my past experience as a teacher then a school counselor, I easily relate to children and assist them in overcoming obstacles they may face while being schooled. Due to my teacher training, I tend to educate all of my clients regarding techniques that they can then practice at home.
